A thorough analysis of both the internal and external strategic context was conducted to inform Kajiado County Investment Authority’s plan for the 2023-2028 period. This involved an evaluation of the global, regional and local investment landscape coupled with an assessment of the Authority’s institutional strengths, weaknesses and capability factors.
The aim of the multi-faceted analysis is to align KCIA’s priorities and initiatives to the evolving opportunities and risks in driving competitive county investments that create shared value. Key analytical perspectives were derived from political, economic, social, technological, legal, environmental scans in addition to stakeholder mapping and maturity assessments.
The insights gathered delve into the key assumptions, considerations and scenarios that KCIA needs to factor into its strategic decision-making towards a sustainable county investment environment.
SWOT Analysis
A SWOT analysis was conducted to evaluate the internal strengths and weaknesses of the Kajiado County Investment Authority as well as the external opportunities and threats relevant to its strategic context.
The analysis involved a participatory process of gathering perspectives from various stakeholders through focused group discussions and consultation meetings. The aim was to develop an informed outlook on the key factors impacting the Authority’s operating landscape.
